Eurohypo prepares the opening of a Representative Office in Brazil

Brazil is one of the largest countries in the world with a population of nearly 190 m of inhabitants and the main economic force in Latin America. Over the past years the Brazilian economy has shown a constant pace of growth leaving behind the volatility that used to be a constant in the 80’s and the 90’s. This development resulted in the awarding of investment grade by S&P and Fitch in the second quarter of 2008. Despite of the current financial crisis, the Brazilian economy shows a robust development: for 2009 with the Brazilian central bank estimating a GDP growth of 3.2%, thereby indicating a cautious but still optimistic outlook alongside an inflation rate that is expected to remain within the target corridor.

Eurohypo prepares the opening of a Representative Office in São Paulo and will provide financing for commercial properties such as offices, retail, logistics and business hotels, both in the development and the investment stages.

Brasil é um dos países mais populosos do mundo com aproximadamente 190 milhões de habitantes e a maior economia da América Latina. Nos últimos anos a economia brasileira mostrou um constante ritmo de crescimento, eliminando a volatilidade que costumava ter nos anos 80 e 90. Este desenvolvimento culminou na admissão da categoria dos países de grau de investimento, atribuído por S&P e Fitch no segundo trimestre 2008. A pesar da crise financeira atual, a economia brasileira mostra um desenvolvimento robusto: para 2009, o Banco Central do Brasil estima um crescimento do PIB de 3.2% com projeções ligeiramente otimistas, a serem acompanhadas com uma taxa de inflação dentro das metas definidas pelo Banco Central.

Eurohypo está em processo de abertura de um Escritório de Representação em São Paulo para financiar propriedades comerciais como prédios corporativos, centros comerciais, armazéns logísticos e hotéis de negócios, estando esses em processo de construção ou já concluídos.
