Core Competence

RAC is a department of the Cooperate Centre Risk Management, with a worldwide network of real estate appraisers with 34 in Germany and 29 in Europe, the USA and Asia Pacific.

Our real estate appraisers have detailed knowledge of their regional markets and are either certified according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024, members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors RICS (UK) or members of Appraisal Institute (USA).

They come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds and qualifications including, architects, engineers, planers, lawyers, economists and have professional experience in banking, real estate conveyancing and investment.

Further, RAC has contact to a worldwide network of property surveyors.

Core Business

RAC provides an important contribution to the risk assessment of property financing and has an objective and independent position within the Eurohypo based on professional expertise in addition to complying to internal guidelines and external regulations.

Internal Services / Products

• The valuation of every property type independent of use and size including complex industrial buildings, management properties and pan-European portfolios, using both German as well as international valuation standards and methods.
• Consultancy.

Research

• RAC Research draws upon the Eurohypo’s decentralized departments for the procurement of property and market data.
• The analysis of the data is the basis for internal market reports on selected sub-markets or property types.
• For marketing purposes the reports are also available externally

Trustee Office

• Implementing and monitoring the compliance of the law of the German Pfandbrief and the regulation of the cover pool register
• Monitoring the calculation of the nominal cover pool active-passive

• RAC also provides services to external customers, e.g. from the financial industry.
