At Eurohypo, there are guidelines and systems in place to protect the interests of its clients and maintain confidentiality. They are also aimed at preventing Eurohypo from being used in connection with criminal activities and are based on a risk-oriented approach. In particular, Eurohypo combats money laundering, the financing of terrorist activities and fraud. All of this happens on the basis of German law and is in accordance with the basic principles of the Third EU Anti Money Laundering Guideline and is the object of the AML Policy below. Pursuant to the USA Patriot Act and final rules issued by the Department of the Treasury, a U.S. bank or a U.S. broker-dealer in securities (a ”Covered Financial Institution”) is required to obtain certain information from any “Foreign Bank” that maintains a correspondent account with it. As permitted by the final rules, Eurohypo AG has prepared a Global Certification for use by any financial institution that believes it requires a Patriot Act Certification from Eurohypo AG or one of its branches or listed subsidiaries. Please use this Certification instead of asking Eurohypo AG or one of its branches or listed subsidiaries to complete a separate Certification form. Below, we have provided a list of all Eurohypo AG Branches and selected subsidiaries covered by the certification, as well as the Global Certification. If you cannot find the subsidiary you do business with in the attached list, please contact the subsidiary directly. Every Eurohypo employee is aware of his or her responsibility to the public, to Eurohypo clients as well as shareholders and colleagues. This responsibility is enshrined in the Code of Conduct below, which is an extract from the Eurohypo Compliance Manual that applies throughout the Group.
